He was a 1972 graduate of North Hardin High School where he was a three-sport athlete and inducted into the inaugural class of the NHHS Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007. He went on to earn his Civil Engineering degree from the University of Kentucky in 1976. After college he pursued a career in civil engineering and land surveying and owned his own engineering consulting firm for over 35 years. If you have been anywhere around Hardin County or the surrounding counties, you have probably seen one of the projects he proudly designed (Lowes, Walmart, John Hardin High School – just to name a few). He loved his work and continued to do so even into his final days.
Eddie was a character from the moment he was able to talk. He dearly loved to make people laugh. He loved being with friends, sharing a Coca Cola Classic and a joke with anyone he encountered.
