Mattie Ransom, age 77, died of a stroke Saturday, July 21, 1951 at the home of a daughter in Tulsa Oklahoma.
She was born about 1875.
She had lived in Parsons, Kansas for over 50 years before going to Tulsa.
She was married twice.
She and Bradford Green Ransom were married in March 1910 in Parsons, Kansas.
She was a member of Brown Chapel AME church.
She was the widow of Green Ransom who was a Parsons policeman for a number of years.
Survivors include two daughters, Corinne (Bradley) Vaughn of Parsons and Opaline (Bradley) Armstrong of Tulsa; four grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be in Tulsa, Wednesday, July 25, 1951.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in the SMT lot.
