Augustine was a son of Peter A'Hearn. He volunteered to serve his country in WW1 and went overseas with the 105th battalion. On his return to P.E.I. he rejoined his father to work on the family farm in Central Kildare. In 1935 Augustine removed to Alberton and resided there for the rest of his life.
