"Agatha L. Beatty, 93, died Sept. 17, 1989, in the Delmar Gardens of Lenexa, 9701 Monrovia St., Lenexa, where she lived. She was born in Abilene, Kan., and lived in this area most of her life. Mrs. Beatty was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Kansas City. She was a graduate of Phillips University, Enid, Okla. Her husband, Ellsworth C. Beatty, died in 1982. Survivors include two sons, Paul J. Beatty of Chicago and John R. Beatty of San Diego; ten grandchildren and a great-granddaughter. Services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Mount Moriah & Freeman Chapel; burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery." The Kansas City Times, September 19, 1989
