Mr. Frank Glover, age 85, of Thomaston, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side.

Funeral services for Mr. Glover will be held on Monday, January 2, 2023, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fletcher-Day Funeral Home. Interment will follow the service in South View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Glover was born May 12, 1937, in Zebulon, Georgia, a son of the late Earl Allan Glover and the late Lula Mae Harris Glover. He was a 1955 graduate of Zebulon High School where he played basketball. He was employed as a shipping clerk for Thomaston Mills. He was later employed as a yard foreman for Keadle Lumber Company where after retirement he was a security guard.

Mr. Glover was instrumental in the construction of Northside Baptist Church where he was an active member, deacon chairman, deacon, and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a Gideon with the Thomaston Gideons. He enjoyed hunting with his grandsons, and he loved talking about his family, especially his children and grandchildren.

Mr. Glover, "Pop" as he was affectionately known, is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Gwen Glover of Thomaston; his sons, Earl Glover of Castle Rock, Colorado; Billy (Janet) Glover of Zebulon; Mike (Valerie) Glover of Thomaston; his daughters, Debbie (Jim) Wheeless of Thomaston; Sharon (Keith) Walker of Tyrone; Ramona (David) Arnold of Fayetteville; his siblings, Louise Parks and Dorothy Glover, both of Zebulon; Mary Hendrix of Senoia; Bobby Glover of Monroe, Washington; Pat Watkins and Carol (Buel) Allen, both of Thomaston; his thirteen grandchildren, and his twenty-two great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Willie "Sister" Parks.
