Diolinda Almeida, 81, formerly of Franklin Street, a spinner at the former Collins & Aikman Corp., died Friday at the Golden Hill Health Care Center, Milford, Conn. She was the widow of Abilio Almeida.
Born in Lisbon, Portugal, a daughter of the late Jose and Maria (do Carmo) Gomes, she lived in Bristol for many years before moving to Connecticut 18 months ago.
Mrs. Almeida was a communicant of St. Elizabeth's Church and a member of its Holy Rosary Sodality.
She leaves two sons, George and Seraphine Almeida, both of Milford; two sisters, Mary P. Gomes of Bristol and Gidalia Lewiz of Bridgeport, Conn.; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 8 a.m. from the George C. Lima Funeral Home, 367 High St., with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 at St. Elizabeth's Church, Wood Street. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
