Age 25, of Arcanum, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023. He was born September 9, 1998, in Dayton, Ohio, to his parents Matthew Allen Baker (Michelle) & Dawn Nicole ( Cook) Yohey (Shane). Sam graduated from Milton-Union High School class of 2017 and worked alongside his father on the family farm. He will be missed and remembered by his loving parents; siblings Ella Baker of Arcanum; grandmother Darlene Hembree of Vandalia; step-siblings Jason Perkins of Arcanum, Michael Evans (Kelly) of Piqua, Xavier Yohey of Troy, Brylee Yohey of Troy, Reese Yohey of Laura, Peyton Nichols of Potsdam, Kennedy Nichols of Potsdam; uncle David Baker (Amanda) of Arcanum; aunts Angie Baker of Arcanum and Michelle LeMaster (Matt) of Conover; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends . He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Roger & Ann Baker; maternal grandfather Samuel Manning; uncle Mark Baker. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 9, at Hale-Sarver Family Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton, with interment following at Newcomer Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
