Funeral services for Abbie P. DuPont, 56, of 640 Lake Arthur Ave, were to be at 10 a.m. today from Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings with the Rev. Adrian Aycock, pastor , officiating.
Burial was in Calvary Cemetery under direction of Miguez Funeral Home in Jennings.
Mr. DuPont died at 11 p.m. Saturday in his home after a short illness. He was a native of Rayne and had lived most of his life in Lake Arthur and Jennings.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Merida Thibodeaux DuPont; one daughter, Mrs. Bert Domingue of Buras; two sons, George DuPont of Stillwater, Okla. and Maj. Abbie Richard DuPont of Albany, Ga. and one step-son, Clifton Bergeron of Hampshire, Texas.
Also two sisters, Mrs. Raymond Landry and Mrs. Duvol Comeaux, both of Jennings; two step-sisters, Mrs. Wilson Duhon of Lake Arthur and Mrs. Henry Daigle of Rayne; five brothers, Andrew, Orville, Leo and Bill DuPont all of Jennings and Earnest DuPont of Lafayette and 11 grandchildren.
