Donald Leo Ballenger, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Donald was born in Inman, South Carolina on May 14, 1938, a son of the late Yancy Leo Ballenger and Annie Grace (Easler) Ballenger. He was a retired Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force, having served during the Vietnam War. After retiring from active service, Donald worked for Liberty Life Insurance Company and was also a former electronics department manager for Walmart. He was a member of First Baptist Church of North Spartanburg Donald is survived by a daughter, Sue Malmberg, of Idaho Falls, Idaho; two sons Eric Ballenger, of Salt Lake City, Utah; Brian Ballenger, of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sisters, Mildred Bishop, of Inman, South Carolina; Guynelle Ballew, of Campobello, South Carolina and Doris Ewell, of Greer, South Carolina. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Brianna Christine Ballenger; Elizabeth Victoria Ballenger; Chance Roy Malmberg and Anthony Le Malmberg. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ballenger was predeceased by two brothers, James L. Ballenger and Samuel M. Ballenger.
