Richard (Rich) Vester Adams, 72 of Lewisburg, died Thursday, July 2, 2009 at his home.
Adams was a native of Peach Orchard, Arkansas and son of the late Vester and Leona Brown Adams. Mr. Adams was retired from Walker Die Casting as Plant Manager. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict in Germany as a military policeman.
Services will be conducted by Claude McMillian and Mac Bowdenat 4 pm Tuesday from the chapel of London Funeral Home.
Adams body will be cremated following the services.
Visitation from 4-8 pm Monday will be at London Funeral Home until the funeral hour Tuesday.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, Peyton Riley Wilson.
He is survived by his wife Joann Tilley Adams of Lewisburg; four daughters: Aurella Leona Van Duyne and children {Joshua, Matthew, Jonathan, Daniel, and Alexander} of Dana Point, CA, Pam Adams-Wilson and children {Mark, Robert and Melinda} of Lewisburg, Carol Doebler and children {Amanda and Aaron} of Pueblo West, CO, Tammy Adams and daughter Savannah of Lewisburg, son Rich Adams, Jr. and children {Allie Jade, Sammy Ree, and Mady Mae} of Lewisburg; great grandchildren: Lucky, Chance, Nathan, Brooklyn and Tylor; seven brothers; Jim Adams, Ron Adams, Larry Adams, Doug Adams, Dean Adams, Mike Adams, and Gene Adams all of Rockford, IL; sisters Deborah Lafontaine and Cyndi Nitz both of Rockford, IL; and several nieces and nephews.
