Connie J. Meier, 91, of Wapakoneta, died 4:06 a.m., Thurs. Nov. 2, 2023, at Vancrest of St. Marys, with her family at her side. She was born May 18, 1932, the daughter of the late Fred & Lillian (Morscheck) Wahrer. On Feb. 9, 1952 she married Paul "Pete" Michael Meier, and he preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 1990.

Jock A. and Karen Meier,
Josie N. and Mark Schaub;
12 grandchildren & 17 great grandchildren;
brother, Terry (Susie) Wahrer;
special friend, Ben Wise;
brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Robert & Mary Lou Meier.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Wanda Pepple, and Geralda Anthony.
Connie had owned and operated the Cripple Creek Market, CO. She also was a home health care giver, and volunteered at the Cripple Creek Elks Club. In her younger years, she was a Cub Scout den mother. Connie was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Cripple Creek, and an auxiliary member of the Wapakoneta V.F.W. Post #8445, and the Cripple Creek
Elks Lodge. Her hobbies included sewing, reading, traveling, cooking, and baking. Connie's family always looked forward to her Christmas cookies.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2023, with Fr. Sean Wilson officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:30 am until the time of the service, Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Auglaize Co.
