CHURCH HILL – Beuna H. Adams, 85, passed away Monday (October 25, 2004) at Indian Path Medical Center following a very brief illness.

Mrs. Adams was a native of Union County, Tennessee. She attended Higher Ground Baptist Church. She enjoyed her flower garden, sewing, quilting and many other activities.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Adams, one son, W. C. Adams, her parents, Andrew and Ethel Bruner Hensley, brothers, Ira Hensley, Clyde Hensley, Clarence Hensley and Ray Hensley, two sisters, Anna Belle Monroe and Leona Hollingsworth.

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Faye and Carroll Tunnell, Kingsport; one son and daughter-in-law, Ray James and Priscilla Adams, Church Hill; two grandchildren, Chad Edward Adams and LeAnn Fleenor; one brother, Earl Hensley, Church Hill; three sisters, Louvina Byrd, Piney Flats; Betty Jo Milton, Johnson City; Juanita Sharp, Michigan; special nieces, Evelyn Bradshaw, Jean Monroe and Ethel Linkeous.

Calling hours are from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home and anytime at the home of her son, Ray Adams, 6017 Carters Valley Road, Church Hill or the home of her daughter, Faye Tunnell 2030 Bruce Street, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dr. Phil Hoskins and the Rev. Joe Monroe officiating.

Music by friend and soloist, Elijah Woods.B

Graveside services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Morning Star Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Dennis Helton, Arrie Cradic, Terry Fletcher, Harold Tunnell, Jimmy Monroe, Nick Beason, James Hammond and Dale Ford.

Honorary bearers will be Dr. Dale Solomon, Hagan Davis, Members of Mount Carmel Senior Citizens and Mount Carmel Senior Citizen drivers.
