Jean Anderson, age 88, of Lone Oak passed away 4:41 p.m. Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Mercy Health Lourdes.
She was born on March 29, 1935 in Lovelaceville, Kentucky. Jean was an active long time member of Lone Oak First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Training Union, nursery worker and sang in two different choirs. Jean worked with several area families as a private caregiver. She sold Home Interior and Gifts for 17 years. She enjoyed collecting butterflies and had a strong passion for flowers, being able to raise them and work in her flower beds on a daily basis.
Survivors include one son, Steve Anderson of Santa Rosa, CA; one grandson, Eric Arthur Anderson, CA; several nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Anderson; son, David Wayne Anderson; parents, Elmer Earl "Judge" Goin and Alma Margery Sanderson Goin; two brothers, Clifton Earl Goin and Terry Arthur Goin.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 4, 2023 at the Lone Oak Chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Martin officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Saturday, November 4, 2023 from 12:00 p.m until service time at the funeral home.
