Margaret Joan Kieliszewski Adams, 88, of Alpena passed away Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at her home.

Margaret Joan Beaudoin was born on January 13, 1935, to Edmond and Ada (Becker) Beaudoin. She was born at the home of her grandparents, George and Margaret Becker, who resided at 640 Miller Street in Alpena. Margaret joined her two brothers, Richard and Gerald and twin sisters Geraldine and Genevieve.

Margaret grew up in Maple Ridge Township and lived most of her life on Cathro Road which became LaComb Road. She attended Bolton School, then went on to Alpena Public Schools. Margaret left school in the 11th grade (in 1951) and married Gerald J. Kieliszewski on January 26, 1952. Jerry and Margaret were married at St Mary's Church by the late Monsignor Gatzke. Together they had six children, Katherine Joy, Cynthia Jean, Gerald Jr., Michael Jon, and twins Steven James and Stewart Jay. After having a family, Margaret returned to school and earned her diploma the same year (1972) as her daughter Cindy. Margaret continued to take classes at Alpena Community College, as well as the Delta-Montrose Vocational Center in Montrose, Colorado.

Margaret retired from Alpena Public Schools in 1993 after serving 23 years as a bus driver. In addition, she held many jobs including caretaker of the Maple Ridge Hall, caterer, clerk at Norway Resort, bookkeeper and Margaret had her own business (Woods by Margaret) where she designed and built play furniture for children.

Margaret was a member of St. Mary Church in Alpena where she sang in the choir for many years. She belonged to the Rosary Group 8, Elk's, VFW Auxiliary Post #2496, AARP, Marsh, MEA/NEA, was a past member of the Board of Directors of the Alpena Cancer Society and was also a 4-H Leader.

Margaret enjoyed traveling and she and Jerry started to travel to Arizona in 1993 after she had retired. Jerry passed away in Arizona on January 28,1995 at the age of 64. The following fall, Margaret hooked up to their 5th wheel and drove back to Arizona. It was there that she met and later married Robert Leroy Adams on October 11, 1997, at St Mary Church in Alpena with Father Walter Derylo officiating. Robert and Margaret moved to Eckert, Colorado in 1998. Bob was later diagnosed with Breast Cancer and following treatment they returned to Michigan (2005) to be closer to family. Bob passed away on November 21, 2018.

Margaret is survived by six children Katherine Meharg, Cynthia (Gene) Domrase, Gerald Jr. Kieliszewski, Michael (Rebecca) Kieliszewski, Steven (Erin) Kieliszewski, Stewart (Christina) Kieliszewski.

Margaret enjoyed 18 grandchildren – Danielle (David) Dasher, Thane Domrase, Kelley Ellis, Mary-Margaret Moors, Meghan Meharg, Sara (Robert) Richardson, Jesse Kieliszewski, Brittany Kieliszewski, Lindsey (Eric) Muszynski, Jaccob (Cierra) Kieliszewski, Katelynn (Ryan) Kruger, Christopher (Molly) Kieliszewski, Emily Kieliszewski, Hailey (Korey) Proulx, Collin Kieliszewski, Connor Kieliszewski, Colby Kieliszewski, Lily Kieliszewski.

In addition, Margaret had 22 great grandchildren. Ava Ellis, Lucas Moors, Jackson Meharg, Madison Quick, Willow Kieliszewski, Ty and Eli Muszynski, Miles and Theodore Kruger, Riley and Liam Kieliszewski, Lincoln, Elle and Levi Kieliszewski, Parker and Cooper Proulx, Tatum Kieliszewski, Alexis (Logan) Metke, Hallie Ludwiczak, Zoie Ludwiczak, Wyatt Richardson, and Braxton Richardson.

Margaret is survived by her sisters Geri Wyman and Gen Albrecht, a brother-in-law Tom (Virginia) Kieliszewski and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son-in-law Michael Meharg, brothers Richard (Joan) Beaudoin, Gerald (Grace) Beaudoin, brother-in-law Donald Wyman, Bob Albrecht, niece Sandra Stevens, nephews Jeff Ruell and Larry Beaudoin, in-laws Alvin and Sally Kieliszewski and Lorraine Mattison.
