Shirley Laverne Armour, 86, of Naylor, passed away on Friday, October 27,2023 at her home.
Mrs. Armour was born on February 8, 1937, in Doniphan, MO. She worked as a teachers aide for Naylor school and enjoyed gardening, watching birds and squirrels in her back yard. She was a lover of all dogs, her most beloved Sophie was with her until her final breath. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and cooking on holidays.
She was a member of the Church of Christ in Naylor.
Shirley married William "Bill" Chester Armour in Hernando, MS. He preceded her in death on Friday, January 18, 2008.
Surviving are children, grandchildren, as well as great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild, Jett.
Besides her husband she is preceded in death by one son, Terry Armour; parents, Williamson Mackley and Dora Johnson; sisters Willean Kennon and Joyce Mathis; as well as 1 brother, Charles Mackley.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 11:00 – 12:00 at the Fowler and Sons Funeral Home in Neelyville. The funeral will immediately follow at 12:00 p.m. in the chapel with Donnie Fowler officiating. Burial will be held at the Naylor Memorial Chapel
