GERARD PASTORELLI Gerard David Pastorelli, 58, of Henderson, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was born Oct. 8, 1956, in Utica, N.Y., to Fred and Josie Pastorelli. Gerard graduated from Notre Dame All Boys High School, and moved to Las Vegas, with his family, in 1975. Gerard was an avid hockey player. On his 16th birthday, his parents took him to Montreal Hockey School. During the week he was there, he had the opportunity to play with the pros. He also played baseball and football. Gerard was employed at the California Hotel, as a parking attendant and bellman, for eight years. He recently was employed at McCarran Airport, assisting the wheelchair bound. Gerard was loved and respected by many and his sense of humor brought smiles to everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Pastorelli; his loving sister, Gayle Zeiter; and his stepfather, Arthur Griffith. Gerard is survived by his mother, Josie Griffith; his nephews, Jacob and Lucas Zeiter; his niece, Addison Zeiter; brother-in-law, Jim (Michelle) Zeiter; brother-in-law, Michael (Terri) Griffith; his aunt, Marion Daniels; and many cousins, both in Las Vegas and Utica. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern Ave., Las Vegas.
