Rush was also a dear brother-in-law and friend to many.

Rush was an amazing man with so many qualities, a true southern gentleman, a soft-spoken cowboy. He loved his wife deeply; his children and grandchildren meant the world to him, and he was a great friend to many. He served two tours in Vietnam. In his life he Rodeo'd, drove 18 wheelers, enjoyed his chopper "Sweetpea". He loved fishing, ranching, his horses, his job at the courthouse, and his country. He will be dearly missed by everyone.
