Sometime between 1875 and 1880 the family removed to Raymond Township, Champaign County, Illinois. The federal census for that area dated June 17th, 1880, again places him in the family home with his parents, one brother, Leslie, and two sisters, Cora & Chloe. Unfortunately, based on headstone information, he would die before the end of the year. He is buried in a rural cemetery with his sister, Ruth.
