Viola "Bo" Joyce, age 95, of Cadiz, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at the Perry County Nursing Home in Linden, Tennessee.
Born March 7, 1928, in Trigg County, Kentucky, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Louie Wynn and the late Grace Elizabeth Timmons Wynn.
Viola "Bo" previously worked as a sales clerk at the Wilkinson's Department Store in Cadiz, a former nurse's aide, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church in Trigg County. She was a former member of Woodman of the World, Cadiz Lions Club and enjoyed gardening. "Bo" and her late husband, Robert, enjoyed taking trips and visiting Lake Okeechobee in Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 1st Husband, Oscar Turner Boyd, Jr.; 2nd Husband, Robert B. Joyce; two brothers, John Wynn, Thomas Wynn and a sister, Shirley Litchfield.
She is survived by her two sons, Robert "Bobby" (Kathleen) Joyce of New Haven, Missouri, Johnny (Debbie) Boyd of Cadiz; a daughter, Rhonda (Terry) Mitcheson of Cadiz; ten grandchildren, Justin R. (Amanda) Boyd, Kayla Grace Messer, Terry Dean (Misty) Mitcheson, Charlotte Ann (Dan) Hinze, Ricky Lee Mitcheson, Samantha Nicole (Glen) Davis, Taylor Michelle (Cody) Adams, Courtney (Dan) Olson, Clayton (Lisa) Jones, Brandon Jones; 21 great grandchildren; One great great grandchild; a sister, Peggy Garner of Cadiz and special friends, Flo, Lee and the staff at the Perry County Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 with Bro.Terry Mitcheson officiating. Burial will follow at the Lawrence Cemetery in Cadiz. Visitation will precede the service at the funeral home from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
