On Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at 1:47 PM, Alice Snodgrass was called home to her final resting place. She was 97 years old and was at home surrounded by family and friends just as she had wished.

Alice was born in Beaverville, IL on March 3, 1926 to Clarence and Elsie McKee and grew up in Earl Park, IN. She married Darrell Snodgrass in 1946 and he preceded her in death in 1973. They spent their adult life in Oxford, IN. They were parents of two sons. Her sons and their families were Alice's pride and joy.

Alice would often tell people what a blessed life she lived. Her hobbies included watching her sons and grandchildren play and coach sports. She logged many hours in the bleachers and loved every minute spent supporting her family. "Aunt Al" meant the world to her many nieces and nephews and remained close to them all throughout her life. Traveling and adventures with her nieces was another love of Alice's. She was so appreciative of her many friends and felt so lucky to have them stop by her house to chat. Alice also loved playing cards and had quite a reputation amongst her grandchildren for her winning ways.

Along with working for 40 years at the State Bank of Oxford, Alice supported her community through participating in Tri-Kappa, being an active member of the United Methodist Church and delivering Meals on Wheels to senior citizens.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three sisters - Onita Densford, Helen Smith and Winifred Yost; and one brother, Albert McKee. Surviving are two sons; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Ask any one of her grandchildren or great-grandchildren and they would tell you how much they were loved by Grandma Snodgrass.

Friends may call at the Oxford United Methodist Church, 215 S. Howard St., Oxford, IN on Monday, October 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM with Rev. Linda Sproull and Pastor Roberta Cook officiating. Burial will follow in Oxford West Cemetery.
