Alice Pauline Bonifay, 68, of 512 E. Royce St., died Wednesday in a hospital.

Mrs. Bonifay, a native of Cyprus, Fla., had resided in Escambia County for the past 55 years. She was a member of the Ferry Pass United Methodist Church, Florida Chapter No. 9 O. E. S., Past Mighty Chosen One of Zelica Chaldron and was employed with the Escambia Sheriff's Office for more than 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Joe E. Bonifay, Sr., two sons, William D. Bonifay and Joe E. Bonifay, Jr., both of Pensacola; two sisters, Myrtle Blackmon of Pensacola, and Susie Mae Johns of Chattahoochee; a niece Patricia Mitchem of Brewton, Ala.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday in the McNeil Keyes Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Karl D. Stringfellow officiating.

Burial will be at Clopton Cemetery with McNeil Keyes directing.

Active pallbearers will be Lt. Adrian Kirksey, St. Roy Crosby, Lt. Jack Nix, St. Russ Sweeny, Investigator Tom Martin, and Deputy Henry White.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Zelica Chaldron.

Friends may call Thursday after 3 p.m. of the funeral home.
