Loy was a veteran of the US Army and was a faithful member of Kempsville Baptist Church.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Betty; children Gregory Borders, Kenneth Borders (Cumi), Teresa Cobs (Marvin), Michael Borders (Lesa), Thomas Borders (Cindy), Carolyn Sue Payne, Bobby Payne (Veeda) and Deanna Dunlap (Bill); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren and brother Ralph Borders (Shirley).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 21, 2015 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1801 Baltic Ave, Va Bch, VA 23451. Cremation Society of Virginia is handling all arrangements.
