Marriage, Helen Caroline Tresselt, 5 May 1955; after her death Marie Grace was his companion until his death.

A system engineer for IBM, Ron retired after 25 years of service. Ron received his Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Westchester College in Westchester, Pa., and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. A member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Thurmont, he studied and explored the context of the Bible and its surroundings. An avid reader, after his retirement he served on the faculty at Frederick Community College, teaching computer and math classes. Ron also gave of his time to tutor children in the field of mathematics, a task he enjoyed thoroughly. He had been an active member of the Thurmont Thespians. Known for his great sense of humor, Ron loved to laugh, was very courageous throughout his life and will be missed and remembered by his loving family, including his wife Marie Grace; he is survived by; five children, Jennifer Drew and husband, Mark Sr. of Brunswick, Chuck Boward and wife, Roberta of San Jose, Ca., Ann Wellborn and husband, Larry, Nancy Houston, all of Thurmont, and Ted Boward of Frederick; seven grandchildren, Mark Jr. and Benjamin Drew, Hilary Houston, Ellen and Patrick Hatfield, Alexander Wellborn, and Erika Boward; sister, Lois Heightman of Hagerstown; brother Rick Boward and wife Diane of Salisbury. Ron was also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jane Fox.
