Mrs. Ferma L. Scarrow, age 80 of McCook, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Hillcrest Nursing Home in McCook.
Ferma was born on November 14, 1942 in Vona, CO to parents Lloyd W. and Virginia L. (Havens)
Wilkinson, Sr. She was one of four children. Ferma graduated from high school in Goodland, KS with
the Class of 1960.
On October 3, 1964, Ferma married Cecil R. Scarrow in Goodland, KS. The family made their home in Stratton, NE and were the parents of six children. Cecil and Ferma always had a big garden and the summer would spend time fishing and camping.
While raising their 6 children, she provided daycare to many residents of the community. Later on,
they moved to McCook where Ferma worked as a department manager for Walmart until she retired
in 2011. She enjoyed attending stock car races with Kevin, country music concerts with Jackie, and
Kansas Jayhawk Basketball with Allen. Most of all, she was happiest spending time with her
children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ferma was preceded in death by parents; three children, Jennifer, Julianna and Steven Scarrow;
brothers, Larry Wilkinson and Lloyd (Bud) Wilkinson; and a granddaughter, Brittani Daily.
