Dolores Anderson, 94, of Charles City, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30a.m. on Monday, October 30, 2023, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City with Reverend Tom Heathershaw officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00p.m., beginning with a Rosary prayer and a time of sharing at 3:00p.m., on Sunday, October 29, 2023, at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home in Charles City and continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.

Dolores Catherine (Dugan) Anderson, the daughter of Percy and Elizabeth (Meyer) Dugan, was born on December 27, 1928, in Charles City. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy in Charles City. Dolores was united in marriage to Carrol Dean Anderson on August 10, 1957 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. To this union, the couple was blessed with three children.

After high school, Dolores was a dental assistant for Dr. Alvin Miller. She then worked at Peerless Photo and later in the Hy-Vee bakery for many years until her retirement. Dolores had a very strong faith and was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and St. Jude Circle. She enjoyed playing cards with her card club (especially 500), reading, sewing, riding her bike, and taking bus trips with her friends to the casinos.

Living family members include her daughters, son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, along with many cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Elizabeth Dugan; husband, Carrol Dean Anderson; parents-in-law, Delbert and Naomi Anderson; twin brother, Darrell Dugan; brother, William Dugan; sister, Mary Louise Dugan; great-granddaughter, Amelia Dee Rogers; daughter-in-law, Lisa Anderson; and sisters-in-law, Marita and Kay.
