Everett M. Penland Jr., 87, of Aloha, Ore., passed away peacefully and surrounded by family Aug. 17, 2023.
Everett "Buzz" Penland was born Jan. 2, 1936 in San Leandro, Calif., to parents Bernice and Everett Sr. In 1962, he married his first wife, Deanna, and they had four children together. He met his second wife, Janice Robinette, and they married in 1991. They were together until her passing in 2008.
Everett was a loving family man and a friend to many. He had a strong work ethic, a great sense of humor, and was especially proud of his service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Everett was predeceased by his son, Kevin; and his second wife, Janice.
He is survived by his first wife, Deanna; his children, Brian, Jeff, and Rachel; his grandchildren, Althea, Alyssa, Earl, Jacob, and Melissa; and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held Oct. 21, 2023, at Village Church, 330 S.W. Murray Blvd., Beaverton, OR, Columbia Rms 6a-b.

Everett "Buzz" Penland was born Jan. 2, 1936 in San Leandro, Calif., to parents Bernice and Everett Sr. In 1962, he married his first wife, Deanna, and they had four children together. He met his second wife, Janice Robinette, and they married in 1991. They were together until her passing in 2008.
