Raymond Thomas, 72, of Waycross died Monday evening (October 23, 2023) at the Hospice Satilla Hospice House after a brief illness.
Mr. Thomas was born in Ware County to the late Ervin Jules Thomas and Nellie Faye Steedley Thomas Knight;; also preceded in death by his wife, Judy Thomas;
six siblings, Lucile Mildred Godwin, Inez White, Geraldine Thomas James, Marshall Ervin Thomas, Talmadge Thomas and Brenda Gail Thomas.
He made Ware County his home all his life. He was a special man that enjoyed singing and playing his guitar for people. He enjoyed entertaining people and watching his old television shows.
Mr. Thomas is survived by four siblings

Elnita Sweat of Waycross,
Linda Faye Thomas Wolfe husband Kim of Waycross;
numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service will be held Friday (October 27, 2023) at 2:00pm in the Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Indian Mound Cemetery in Millwood, Georgia.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8pm at Miles-Odum Funeral Home.
