August Boeckman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Barney Boeckman, died at his home near Kelly early Friday morning, July 3rd of Bright's Disease with which he had been seriously ill for the past 3 weeks. August was the fifth child in the family and is survived by his parents and his brothers and sisters, Joseph, Lizzie, Henry, Charlie, Frank, Bennie and Mary. He attended the Kelly Parochial School until about the middle of May when he was taken ill. During the first part of his last illness, he was taken to the Sabetha Hospital for treatment, but his condition was so grave that he was brought back to his home here to spend his few remaining days in his home. The funeral services were held from Saint Bedes Church in Kelly Monday morning, July 6th. Requiem Mass was read by Rev. Father Edwin and burial was made in the parish cemetery.
