Aresident of French Settlement and a native of Port Allen, Sidney went to be with his Lord Monday, April 28, 2014 at Nottingham Regional Rehabilitation Center at age 90. He is survived by four daughters and their husbands; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandson. Sidney is preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Fuller Bonaventure; two sons, Stephen Joseph Bonaventure and Tom Gerard Bonaventure, daughter, Mary Elaine Bonaventure, grandson, Christopher Mayeaux, great grandson, Alexander Dubroc; sisters, Mamie Sparacio, Rita Jellum, and Edna Albritton; brothers, Alexander Bonaventure and Felix Bonaventure; and parents, Felix and Rose Lejuene Bonaventure. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Thursday, May 1, 2014, from 9:00 am until religious services at noon in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park.
