She was born March 4, 1919, in Waynesboro, Ga., to Edward Hosea and Nina Thompson Blount. Mrs. Hobbs was a graduate of Shorter College in Rome, Ga., and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
She is survived by one daughter, Nina Hobbs Singleton; one son, Horton H. Hobbs III; one brother, Edward Hosea Blount; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Mrs Hobbs was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Horton H. Hobbs Jr.
