The death Certificate for her son who is linked to her here at this cemetery lists her last name as Mayo, this could have been another married name. It could have been a typo. Records matching her with John Thomas May lists her last name as Barrow. There is a 1910 census that incorrectly was confused for Maggie and JT that named two children, Gracie and Charles, who were born before they married. That census had them living in Charlotte, NC, This is another family. A separate 1910 census (see below) named Maggie and John. They are living with his parents in Chicod.
