Bruce Jannack

February 7th, 1947 - October 18th, 2023

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bruce Frederick Jannack in the early hours of October 18, 2023, in his 76th year. Bruce passed away peacefully after a brief stay in the Palliative Care Department of the Brockville General Hospital. Survived by his daughter Victoria Lessard (Bob), grandson Kirk (Victoria), great grandchildren Carter & Brier and several nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Alfred & Margaret, his soulmate Eileen and grandchild Keith.

Bruce was a long time employee of Loblaws (Brockville, Ottawa & Kingston). Upon his retirement in 2004 he returned to Brockville, the town he grew up in. He loved meeting new people while traveling the Brock Trail on his scooter, shopping for the "specials" at the local Superstore, and would often be found drinking coffee and talking about his family, New York Yankees, Toronto Maple Leafs, or the "good 'ol' days" with his many friends at Block House Island. The highlight of his day was watching the many different cargo ships go up and down the river, a love he passed on to his daughter at a very early age.

On Wednesday October 25, 2023 friends & family are invited to pay their respects at Irvine Funeral Home & Chapel, 4 James St. E, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a service in celebration of Bruce's life to be held in the chapel at 1:00 pm and burial to follow at Oakland Cemetery. Guests are then invited back to the reception centre for refreshments and a time of sharing memories.

If friends so desire donations in Bruce's memory may be made to Brockville & Area Food Bank, 58 Buell St., Brockville, or Wall St. United Church, 5 Wall St. Brockville or Kingston Humane Society, 1 Binnington Court, Kingston.
