Chester Cyril Wagner, Kroger Meat Department Manager
Chester Cyril Wagner, 70, of Independence, died Thursday at St. Elizabeth Medical Center South, Edgewood.
He was a retired meat department manager from Kroger, an employee with the Discovery Channel and a member of St. Benedict Church and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include his wife, Sylvia Wagner Cooney; sons, Bill Wagner and Josh Wagner, both of Covington, Chris Wagner of Independence, and Greg Wagner of Union; daughters, Amy Lampone of Florence, Jenny Zumdick of Covington, Angie Burns of Fort Thomas, and Emily Seal of Independence; brothers, William Wagner of Madisonville, Ohio, Joseph "Bud" Wagner of Highland Heights, James Wagner of Fort Thomas, and Robert Wagner of Erlanger; sisters, Mary Schilling and Ruth Ann Krebs, both of Fort Thomas; and 22 grandchildren.
Mass of Christian burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at St. Benedict Church, Covington. Visitation will begin there at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Fort Mitchell.
