Lela Luella Adams was born June 1, 1911 in Fame, Okla., the daughter of William B. Adams and Sara Clifford (Philpott) Adams.
She married Maxie F. Hawk in 1931 in Arizona. They lived in Artesia, Ariz., for a period of time following their marriage, then traveled through Northern California with Mr. Hawk's employment as a welder, settling in Beaumont, Calif. They moved to Dubois in 1985.
Mrs. Hawk was a member of the Dubois Church of Christ.
The family said she was an avid gardener, and loved her vegetable garden and raising roses.
Mrs. Hawk is survived by four grandchildren, Tom Hawk and his wife Monica of Baja, Mexico, Michael Hawk and his wife Carol of Phoenix, Ariz., Alicia Hawk of Phoenix, and Max Hawk of Riverton; two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Maxie F. Hawk in 1986; son Russell Gene Hawk; all of her brothers and sisters; one nephew.
