A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church for Gertrude Nolan O'Donnell, 82, who died Monday, October 16, 2023, at 1:27 a.m. at Ochsner Acadia General Hospital.
Fr. Johnathan Janise, Pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, will officiate for the services. The family requests visiting hours Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. with a rosary being recited at 11 a.m. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. O'Donnell is survived by her husband, John Joseph O'Donnell, Jr. of Crowley; two daughters, Debra Ann Broussard of Biloxi, MS, Victoria Istre of Crowley; one stepdaughter, Marron Kay O. Lolis of Crowley; 6 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Edwin Broussard; grandson, Edwin Justin Broussard; her parents, Joseph Dewey Nolan, Sr. and Ezelis Abshire Nolan; two sisters, Betty N. Hanks and Ethel N. Rivers; two brothers, Joseph D. Nolan, Jr. and Theodore "Sonny" Nolan.
