John D. Angstadt, 76, of Blandon, peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family at his residence. He was the cherished husband of Sandra L. (Stufflet) Angstadt, with whom he joyfully celebrated 57 years of marriage. John was born in Reading, the son of the late Elmer and Alice Angstadt.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, John dedicated 12 years as a bus driver for Carl R. Bieber, Inc., and an additional 15 years of service with Berks Area Transit Authority.

In the 60s and 70s, John showcased his musical talent as a drummer with the Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, contributing to their numerous championships. A skilled woodworker, he built and furnished his home. John was a passionate supporter of Penn State football and the Philadelphia Eagles, and he cherished family camping trips.

Survived by his wife Sandra, and children Michael Angstadt (husband of Marian Pittman Angstadt) and JoAnn Kulhamer (wife of John Kulhamer), John will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Zachary, Haley, Wyatt, John IV, Justin, and great-grandchildren Maxon, Gianni, Maddie, Zoey, Emma, and Charlotte.

John was preceded in death by his son Dennis Angstadt.

Services for John will be private, and his burial will take place in St. Paul's Union Cemetery.
