Terry Lee "Tubby" Battenfield of Tulsa, OK passed from this life Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK. He was 61.

Terry was born January 14, 1962 in Tahlequah, OK to Laroy and Mable (Long) Battenfield. He had lived in Tulsa for the past 5 years moving from Miami where he had lived since 1969, when his dad started working at B.F. Goodrich. He graduated from Miami High School Class of 1980. He loved bowling and while in high school he worked at Playland Lanes with Rick Stewart and his family. After high school he went to truck driving school and worked for C.F.I. Trucking and other companies for several years. He was a member of Miami Elks Lodge #1320 and the Brother-In-Laws.

Terry loved riding his motorcycles and loved his family, especially the nieces and nephews whom he pestered all the time and they loved it. In 2017 Terry was in an accident which caused a severe brain injury and was in Tulsa for the last several years. During this time his family brought him home once a month to visit and eat hot fudge sundaes, which was his favorite. He had a tough exterior but had a heart of gold and would help anyone in need. We will love and miss him always.

Terry was preceded in death by his father Laroy Battenfield.

Survivors include his mother, Mable King of Miami, OK, 1 sister, Dianna Martinez and her husband Esco of Miami, OK, 2 nieces Mindy Rupert and husband Andy of Eagle River, AK and Michelle Ettestad and husband Beau of Miami, OK, 1 nephew Brandan Lee and wife Destiny of Eagle River, AK, 3 great nieces and 5 great nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2023 at Paul Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Miami, OK. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK with members of the Brother-In-Laws serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday evening at funeral home chapel in Miami, OK. Services have been placed in the care of Paul Thomas Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Miami, OK.
