She was born in Burney Feb. 2, 1925, the daughter of Lorren and Lucile Carr Osting.
Her mother is deceased but her father survives, residing in Lafayette, Ind.
She is also survived by her husband, Edward Benefiel, Anderson, Ind.; one daughter, Judy Truscott, Greenfield, ind.; three sons, Carl Benefiel, Frankton, Ind., Tom Benefiel, Greenwood, Ind., and Michael Benefiel, Omaha, Neb.; one brother, Harold Osting, Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Monroe (Eleanor) Westerfeld, Batesville, Ind., Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Gabel, Phoenix, Ariz., and Mrs. Don (Thelma) Genda, Frankfort, Ind.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Helen Osting Zeiher.
Services will be 12:30 p.m. Thursday at the Roszell-Johnson Funeral Home, Anderson, Ind.
Burial will be in Anderson, Ind.
Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. today.
