Funeral services are Sunday, October 15, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Culpepper Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm til 2:00 pm on Sunday before the service.
Bobby was born on June 17, 1949 to Jim Tom and Lou Ella Welch Beck in Eupora, MS. Bobby was one of sixteen children. He is preceded in death by his brothers Eugene, Calvin, David and Virgil, and his sisters Peggy, Jamie, Pearl, Linda and Arlene, and a grandchild Aidan.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 51 years Nancy Burrell Beck and his daughters Tammie Barber (Cecil) and Teresa Burton (Anthony), grandchildren Blake, Chase, Selah, Ethan, Benjamin, Elijah, Ella, and Kinsley, and his siblings Ricky, Jimmy, Wayne, Ronnie, Cathy and Shirley.
Bobby started working as a truck driver after he finished high school. He then went on to work for Attala County as the Fire Chief for 20 years. During that time, he also worked as an EMT and Mississippi Fire Coordinator. He was a member of Parkway Baptist Church.
We want to thank Sharon Lee and Cassandra Hudgins for all the special care they have given him over the last few years, and Halcyon Hospice in his last days.
