Trudie - Marian Morgan Manning, 79, of Trudie, passed away Thursday morning (October 12, 2023) at Southeast Ga. Health Systems in Brunswick, GA.
Born in Jesup, GA, her parents were Joseph Talmadge and Ruby Thomas Morgan. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy "Dot" Morgan Ham and her husband Huey Ham.
Marian worked for the Brantley Co. School System as an elementary teacher for many years. She was a member of the Nahunta First Baptist Church. She was an animal lover, she loved music and playing the piano. She was a Goodwill Shopper, loved her grandkids. She loved her students and tried to keep in touch with them. Marian was a military wife and a mom to everyone. She was also known for adopting children.
Survivors include her husband, Tyrus Jerald Manning of Trudie; 1 son, Tyrus "Tybo" Jerald Manning, III, of Trudie; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Morgan Manning Crabb (Wayne) of Trudie, Holly Manning Wood (Jeff) of Buford, GA., Heather Manning Overturf (Jerod) of Atlanta, GA.; 6 grandchildren, Jamie Crabb, Jessica Crabb, Cayden Wood, Hudson Wood, Melody Wood, Heath Overturf; a niece, Kathy Hendrix (Freddie) and a nephew, Ronald Ham (Paula) both of Hickox; also several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service Saturday (October 14, 2023) at 2PM at Nahunta First Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held Saturday (October 14, 2023) at 3PM at Nahunta First Baptist Church with Rev. Jake Baum officiating.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Crabb, Jeff Wood, Cayden Wood, Hudson Wood, Jerod Overturf, Ronald Ham, and Wain Strickland.
