Evelyn Hobbs passed from this life at the age of 95 on Sunday, October 8, 2023.

Mrs. Hobbs was born December 7, 1927, in Abilene, Texas.

She spent her early childhood years in Anson, Texas before moving to Midland with her family.

She graduated from Midland High School and met her husband while both were working in the same building in downtown Midland.

She is preceded in death by her husband of nearly 74 years, L.C. Hobbs, and survived by her three children: Elaine Kasprzyk and husband Gary of Pontotoc, Texas, Bill Hobbs and wife Liz of Midland, and Nancy Davis and husband Wayne of Fort Worth. Additional family members include four grandchildren: Brandon Moore, Kayla Oestreich, Trey Davis, and Emily Davis; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Hunter and Peggy Ferry with husband Bob; and numerous other relatives.

Mrs. Hobbs had a generous spirit and took great joy in giving to her children.

Her faithful companionship with L.C. was demonstrated through their many common interests and activities.

The family would like to express gratitude to caregivers Alicia Aranda, Paul and Sylvia Aguirre, and Jaime Tenoro for their love and care to Mrs. Hobbs in the late stages of her life.

Mrs. Hobbs will be in state from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., Friday, October 13, 2023 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A graveside service for Mrs. Hobbs will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ellis Resthaven Memorial Park located at 4616 N. Big Spring Street.
