Daisy Luticia Cone, age 88, passed away Friday, August 4, 2023. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel at Townsend's Funeral Home. Dr. Darrell Paulk will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm prior to the service. Burial will be private.

Daisy was born in Dublin, Georgia to the late Lamar Shiver and Vera Mae Shiver. She was a graduate of Dublin High School and Georgia Baptist School of Nursing. She worked at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Groveland Nursing Home, Claxton's Hospital and Fairview Park Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her daughter, Gail Luticia Cone and brother Wade Shiver.
Daisy was a member of First Baptist Church in Dublin for over 60 years. She enjoyed being a part of her Sunday School Class and loved to do Bible Studies. She was a lifetime learner and especially like History. Before her eyes failed, she loved to read and cross stitch. She loved beautiful music, especially music presented by her church choir. She also loved to travel and looked forward to her annual mountain trip with her close friends. The joy of her life were her two grandchildren. She loved spending time with them whenever she could.
