BAKER, MADGIE HICKS, age 73, of Gardendale, died Monday, July 16, 2007, at her residence. She was born on May 13, 1934 in Cullman County to Walter J. Hicks and Janie Hudson Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Adeline Linton. She is survived by her husband, William R. Baker of Gardendale; daughter, Rhonda (Andrew Straszewicz) Baker of Gardendale; brother, Harley (Brenda) Hicks of Hamilton; a host of nieces and nephews. Arrangements are being handled by Hanceville Funeral Home, 100 Michelle St. NW, Hanceville, AL, where the family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Funeral service will be at Hanceville Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Wednesday, July 18, 2007. Elder Guy Hunt officiating. Interment will be at Fairview West Cemetery in Hanceville, AL.
