Mrs. Leonard Ray Died Last Thursday
Once more the Grim Reaper has visited this community and removed from our midst one of our well known residents, casting gloom and sorrow in its wake and depriving a husband of a true and faithful wife, and children of a kind and loving mother.
Mrs. Leonard Ray, residing about six miles east of Bainville, was called to her reward last Thursday afternoon, following an illness of several years which finally terminated in consumption which caused her death. She had been very low for several months and was confined to her bed the greater part of the time, but despite this she was a patient and cheerful sufferer and death finally came as a relief to her earthly pains. All that loving hands could do to make her last moments cheerful was done by friends and neighbors who were constantly in attendance at her bedside.
The deceased was 41 years of age and besides a husband and five small children leaves several brothers and sisters besides a large circle of friends to mourn her demise.
Funeral services were held from the family home Monday afternoon and the remains were escorted to their last resting place in the cemetery east of town by a large number of friends and neighbors.
The Tribune joins with the many friends of the family in extending to them our most heartfelt and sincere sympathy in their bereavement.
