Pioneer Matron of Bainville Buried Monday
The Bainville community was saddened last week when death claimed Mrs. William Beaudry, long time resident of Bainvaille. Mrs. Beaudry had been ill for some little time past, but it was not until two weeks before her death that relatives and friends lost hope for her recovery. Death came quietly Friday evening, Sept. 27th, 1940.
Funeral services were conducted at Bainville Monday morning, Sept. 30, 1940 from the Roman Catholic Church, with Rev. Fr. Vance officiating. Interment was made in the Fairview cemetery at Bainville.
Melvina Elizabeth Gregorie was born March 14, 1882, at Cavalier, N. D. On Dec. 11, 1901, at St. Joe, N. D., she was united in marriage with William John Beaudry. To this union were born eight children, seven of whom survive her, Melvina, an infant daughter having preceded her in death.
She leaves to mourn her parting her husband, William J. Beaudry, of Bainville, Mont.; four sons, Rolland of Essex, Mont., Wallace of Wolf Point, Mont., Clayton of Fairview, Mont., and Arden of Bainville, Mont.; and three daughters, Mrs. William G. Huff of Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Norman Lamb of Deadwood, S. D., and Sister Marie Theresa Emmanuel of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three sisters, four brothers and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Beaudry, together with her husband and family, came to Bainville in 1910, where she resided until the time of her death.
She leaves a host of friends who mourn her departure and who extend their sincere sympathies to the husband and children in their time of sorrow.
