Marie E. Sturgeon, 82, of 4486 Phoenix Drive, Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Streator, died Wednesday, March 27, 1996, while visiting in Atlanta, Georgia.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Hagi Funeral Home. The Rev. Jamie Swanson of Park United Church of Christ Presbyterian will officiate. Music for the service will be provided by Doris Spear, organist. Burial will be in Defenbaugh Cemetery in Ancona. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be: James Frazier, Edward Lee, Ray Rollins, Mike Morlan, Kenneth Morlan and Larry Fitck.
She was born December 14, 1913 in Manville, a daughter of Edward Louis and Maria Ellen (Armstrong) Burton. She married Enfer Frazier on April 14, 1931. He died in 1959. She later married William J. Sturgeon on October 21, 1970. He died in 1979.
Surviving are a son: James Frazier of Springfield, Ohio; a daughter: Eva (Kenneth) Morlan of Streator; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother: Edward D. Burton of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho; and a sister: Rita Lee of Long Point.
She was preceded in death by a daughter: Betty L. Frazier; and two sisters.
She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Springfield, Ohio.
