Rex served on the Great Lakes from 1948-1949. In the early 1950s he served two years in the U.S. Army. He drove truck until his retirement, traveling to most all the contiguous Unites States.
On January 23, 1954, he married Dolores Bonnett. There were married 55 years before her death on September 2, 2009. He was also preceded in death by his parents, his sister Naomi Jane Carter, and his brother Robert Allen Beach.
Rex is survived by a sister, Ardath McDonald of Cheboygan, a brother Gene Beach of Gaylord, his wifes niece Sally Wenger of Cheboygan, 10 other nieces and nephews, and a special friend Ilah Coviak of Gaylord.
Services for Rex will be held on October 9, 2023 at Nordman-Christian Funeral Home. Family will greet guests at 11:30AM. Funeral service will be at 12:00PM, followed by burial, and then a luncheon.
