Patricia Ann "Momma Pat" (Searcy) Blackburn Whitley, 84, of Frankfort, died peacefully at her home Thursday, September 28, 2023, surrounded by her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anna Lucille (Sloop) Searcy and Jack T. Searcy; husband, James Weir Blackburn I; second husband, Ralph Whitley; and grandson, Cain T. Mitchell.

Pat was born in Lexington, Kentucky and graduated from Lafayette High School in 1957. She studied music at Georgetown College. Throughout her life, she was strong in her faith and dedicated to serving anyone in need. She actively volunteered for the Girl Scouts of America, Women's Missionary Union and spent the majority of her career as the Executive Director for the American Red Cross in Frankfort, Kentucky.

Her greatest love was her family, neighbors, and dear friends. She enjoyed life on the farm, feeding people and singing in the church. No one was a stranger and everyone she knew was treated with dignity and love.
