Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2008, at the Owens and Brumley Chapel with Rev. Mike Roberson officiating. Interment will follow in Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Owens and Brumley of Wichita Falls.
Dorothy was born Jan. 22, 1919, in Wichita Falls, to the late Henry and Anna Kaufhold. She was a member of Lamar Baptist Church for almost 70 years. She was a Worthy Matron in the Eastern Star and a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She served as the PTA president many times during her children's school years and was a volunteer for many years at United Regional Hospital. Dorothy assisted her husband with many real estate enterprises. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Patsy and Allen King of Wichita Falls, and Carol and William Booth of San Marcos, Texas; a brother, Jerry Kaufhold and his wife, Jeanette of Wichita Falls; a sister, Madeline McLaughlin and her husband, James of Wichita Falls; four grandchildren, Allen King and his wife, Lily of Houston, Karrie Lindquist of The Colony, Texas, Jimmy Maness and his wife, Karen of Arlington, Texas, and Wesly Maness and his wife, Robin of Arlington; eight great-grandchildren, Trey, William, Christopher, Tyler, Gage, Zoe, Grant and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Oscar Wilson in 1989, and three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2008, at Owens and Brumley Funeral Home.
