Dorotha Lucille Bowman 94, of Pittsboro, IN went home to her Heavenly Father on April 11, 2008. She was born on December 8, 1913. Dorotha graduated from Pittsboro High School in 1932 and became a Registered Nurse after graduating from the St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1939. She retired from Dr. Charles O. Weddle's office, Lebanon, IN in 1971. She was a member of the Pittsboro Christian Church, Hendricks County Historical Society, St. Vincent Alumni Association, Phi Beta Psi Sorority, Brownsburg, IN, Hendricks Community Hospital Guild, and Meals on Wheels. She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer Earl & Grace Ellen (Walton) Bowman; sisters, Beatrice Newcome, Wilma Gladden and Greta Schackel. She leaves to mourn nieces and nephews, Ric and Jerry Schackel, Sheri Sperka, Jane Phillips, Harlene Clark, Jean Carroll, Bonnie Shelton, Gayla Gladden; 18 great nieces and nephews and numerous great great nieces and nephews.
